Instructions to make Money-Saving Homemade Pasta:
- Use chopsticks to mix together the cake flour, strong flour, salt, and sugar.
- Add the eggs and the lukewarm water and mix together with the chopsticks. Using this method prevents your hands from getting sticky!
- Once the dough forms, push the dough using the base of your palms until it becomes smooth and gathers together. Dust with flour so that it doesn't get sticky!
- Roll out the dough using a rolling pin. If you don't have one, you can use a plastic wrap roll. Stretch it out until it's about 20 cm! You can even make this if you don't have the proper tools!
- Cover with plastic wrap and let sit for 20 minutes. If you have time, let it sit in the refrigerator from 1 hr to overnight at the longest. This time, I separated the dough into 3 portions.
- Roll it out and fold it over several times and repeat! This will result in chewy pasta.
- Roll it out to your preferred thickness and use a knife to slice it. The size depends on your preference. I made a pretty thick fettucine this time!
- Dust everything with flour, spread them out and dry for 10-20 minutes.
- Using a pasta machine follows the same process! After spreading it out, fold it into layers and repeat!
- I made these into fettucine too! Most pasta machines have edges that can cut thin or thick noodles!
- Also dust these with flour and dry for 10-20 minutes!
- These are noodles for lasagna! I made 3 different versions with the 3 portions of dough!

Information on How to Elevate Your Mood with Food
Many of us believe that comfort foods are terrible for us and that we ought to avoid them. Sometimes, if the comfort food is a sugary food or another junk food, this holds true. Other times, though, comfort foods can be totally nourishing and it’s good for you to eat them. There are several foods that actually can raise your moods when you eat them. When you feel a little down and need an emotional boost, test out a few of these.
Eggs, believe it or not, are terrific for helping you fight depression. You need to see to it, though, that what you make includes the yolk. The egg yolk is the most essential part of the egg in terms of helping you cheer up. Eggs, the egg yolk especially, are stuffed full of B vitamins. These B vitamins are great for helping to improve your mood. This is because these vitamins improve the function of your brain’s neural transmitters (the parts of the brain that dictate how you feel). Eat an egg and feel happier!
Put together a few trail mix of nuts or seeds. Peanuts, cashews, sunflower seeds, almonds, pumpkin seeds, and so on are all terrific for helping to elevate your mood. This is because seeds and nuts have a lot of magnesium which raises your brain’s serotonin levels. Serotonin is the “feel good” chemical substance that dictates to your brain how you feel all the time. The more of this chemical in your brain, the more pleasant you’ll feel. Nuts, along with improving your mood, can be a superb source of protein.
If you want to overcome depression, try eating some cold water fish. Cold water fish such as tuna, trout and wild salmon are high in DHA and omega-3 fats. These are two substances that promote the quality and function of the grey matter in your brain. It’s true: eating a tuna fish sandwich can basically help you overcome depression.
Grains can be great for driving away a terrible mood. Quinoa, barley, teff, millet, etc are all great for helping you feel happier. These foods fill you up better and that can help you with your moods too. Feeling starved can be a real downer! The reason these grains are so wonderful for your mood is that they are not hard for your stomach to digest. You digest these grains quicker than other things which can help promote your blood sugar levels, which, in turn, helps make you feel happier, mood wise.
Your mood could actually be helped by green tea. You were sure green tea had to be included in this article, right? Green tea is loaded with a particular amino acid referred to as L-theanine. Research has proved that this amino acid promotes the production of brain waves. This will improve your brain’s concentration while simultaneously relaxing the rest of your body. You likely already knew it is not difficult to be healthy when you consume green tea. And now you are aware that it can help you be happier as well!
As you can see, you don’t need to consume all that junk food when you wish to feel better! Try several of these instead!
