The ingredients needed to make Flan:
- Take 4 oz cream cheese
- Get 1 can evaporated milk
- Get 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- Make ready 10 eggs
- Prepare 12 oz milk
- Get 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Make ready 1 cup sugar
- Get 2 tsp corn starch
Combine cream, milk and salt in heavy medium saucepan. Scrape seeds from vanilla bean into cream mixture; add bean. Bring to simmer over medium heat. Chill and serve: Remove pan from oven.
Instructions to make Flan:
- Set oven at 325°
- Blend the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, milk, eggs and vanilla extract. Blend cream cheese and corn starch after. Fat free ingredients will have different results
- Put sugar in a pan, stir constantly and let melt. Do not let boil
- Pour melted sugar in baking dish or single baking cups
- Once sugar has cooled, pour blended ingredients into dish
- Place dish in water bath
- Place in oven for hour and a half or until top is golden brown
- Let cool in fridge
- Run thin plastic knife around flan to release from dish. Flip onto plate or platter
