Steps to make Taro Dessert (Taro Balls + Sweet Syrup):
  1. Peel the taro. Boil in water until soft. Remove from the water, then mash while still hot. Add the tapioca powder, katakuriko, white sugar, and purple yam powder, and mix well.
  2. Use a spoon to take out about 10 g worth at a time and use both hands to shape into balls. This time, I made 19 as shown in the picture.
  3. Bring water to a boil, add the taro balls, and boil. Once they bob to the surface, they should be done boiling. Remove the taro, then clean with cold water.
  4. Make the syrup. Bring water to a boil and dissolve the sugar. Add the washed taro balls into the syrup and it's done If you make the syrup first, you can make it into a cold dessert. A lot of people like eating it hot during the cold winter months.
  5. How about that? It's so chewy!
  6. For the syrup, you can sauté a bit of light brown sugar until it becomes a caramel-like color, then add a bit of water and simmer for a bit to make a caramel-colored syrup.

Omega-3 fatty acids and DHA are two things that truly help the grey matter in your brain run a lot better. It’s true: eating a tuna fish sandwich can seriously boost your mood.

Some grains are actually wonderful for driving away bad moods. Quinoa, barley, teff, millet, etc are all great for helping you feel better. These grains fill you up better and that can help improve your moods as well. Feeling hungry can be awful! The reason these grains help your mood so much is that they are not hard to digest. You digest these grains faster than other things which can help boost your blood sugar levels, which, in turn, helps make you feel better, mood wise.

Your mood could really be helped by green tea. You were just expecting to read that, weren’t you? Green tea is loaded with an amino acid referred to as L-theanine. Studies prove that this specific amino acid can essentially stimulate brain waves. This helps better your mental focus while having a relaxing effect on the rest of your body. You were already aware that green tea could help you be so much healthier. Now you know that green tea helps you to elevate your moods as well!
